Bio:
Rinku was born and raised in the lands of FrogChamp where she built her first underground kingdom: The Tunnel Empire. This empire was inhabited by her dogs- their leader being Prince Alexander and Princess Irene, along with their daughter Lucy Gray. FrogChamp actually has its own entire history that is way too complicated to include all in here, but for lore sake, just know that Alexander was accidently killed by Rinku with her sword, Vasilis. It was a devastating incident where Alexander got caught in the cross fire of a fight. After that, Irene ruled the Tunnel Empire on her own. Rinku, devastated by the loss of Alexander, went on to leave FrogChamp behind.
This led her to several different places on her adventures, but most notably was a land called Cave Town Hype. This place held magical properties that granted the inhabitants special powers. Rinku was gifted with featherfalling and regeneration and was dubbed an Angel, along with several of her friends. Together they built a beautiful town with a giant tree as the center. One of the other inhabitants of Cave Town Hype was focused on building a massive Citadel in the center of the world. He managed to spark controversy among the citizens of the world which led to him being banished. Before leaving, he gifted Rinku his sword, titled "Angel's Bane". Even after his banishment the people of Cave Town Hype continued to grow in power until their abilities were unmatched. No longer satisfied with the ways of the town, Rinku departed in search of a new land.
During her travels she tamed a wild wolf who she named Phoenix. Together they settled near a town inhabited by villagers. Here, Rinku, built up her own place. She dubbed the land, Melon, and together with her wolves created a thriving town. To this day she considers Melon to be her one true home, although there have been other additional adventures she has gone on with her friends throughout her time. Most noticeably was YeeHawChamp, a bountiful cherry blossom valley surrounded by towering mountains. Rinku and her friends built up a castle into the side of a cliff. The place continued to expand, becoming a maze of connecting tunnels and rooms, but this land too was eventually abandoned and Rinku returned to her home in Melon.
History:
Rinku's design was originally created waaaayyyyy back in 2016. Back when I used to play on my brother's minecraft account. Back then I used to switch my skin almost every single time I played (which was pretty much every day). Eventually I wanted to design my own skin, which pretty much consisted of me just taking the hair design from a different skin and the pajama outfit from another one and adding a derpy face to the skin and calling it good. At the time I didn't have a name for her, nor did I really consider her an original character- she was just my minecraft skin.
Fast forward 5 years and I'm 16 years old, and I finally have my own minecraft account and the covid-19 pandemic was in full swing. My user name on minecraft was Rinku Stars, named after a separate elf character I had made about a year prior. Well, considering everyone was stuck at home during the pandemic, me and my friends all made a minecraft realm called Frogchamp. This was really the first time where I decided I wanted my own unique minecraft skin and I instantly remembered back to the one I had designed as a kid. Unable to find the original one I made, I recreated it from memory to the best of my ability and to this day it's still my default minecraft skin. There's still a lot of 2016-ish elements to the skin (the derpy face, the flat clothing, the over-saturated colors) but personally I like it that way. It feels very 'me', I think.
I make her a new outfit from time to time, but her default is always the original pink and teal pajamas with bunny slippers :D I think she kind of evolved into being this sona type character for me because I would so often draw her when drawing pictures of the minecraft worlds me and my friends would play on. From these drawings and different worlds it was like she lived a million different life times and I loved it. She really holds a special place for me to this day, even 6 years later. It's kind of confusing because I actually have multiple oc's named Rinku, but in my mind this one is the only true Rinku Stars (even though technically she's not the original lmao).
Anyways, Rinku will continue to grow and who knows if I'll be drawing her for the rest of my life, but for now I really love her and plan to continue playing minecraft and drawing silly pictures :3
